About trees

Syngonium podophyllum 'Pink' is an epiphytic vine whose juvenile leaves are often arrowhead-shaped and change form as the plant matures; it belongs to the Araceae family. Its overall character is enhanced by pink, red, or copper tones that are especially visible on the tips and young leaves before changing as the leaves mature. Differences between young and mature leaves are part of its appeal, and every leaf does not need to look the same. Leaf color, thickness, and size may change with the plant's age, light levels, and root health.

Successful cultivation depends on fairly bright filtered light, an airy growing medium, and moisture that does not leave the roots saturated. Check the medium before every watering and avoid moving the plant abruptly from shade into intense sun. It can be displayed either as a small clump or as a climber on a support. Use actual growth as your guide, adjusting light, water, and nutrients gradually to maintain the desired form. Leave enough space around the plant for its mature shape so that care and cleaning can be carried out without disturbing the roots.
