This entry covers only the genus level, so appreciate the actual plant's leaf form and growth habit without assuming the characteristics of a particular species. As the clump gradually establishes, the details of the leaves and internodes become clearer, so leave enough room for the plant to develop its natural form. Its submerged form may differ from its emersed form, and leaf replacement after planting in an aquarium is a normal adjustment process for many aquatic plants.
