Kluai Nom Sao (Musa (AAB group) 'Kluai Nom Sao') is a heritage banana cultivar from southern Thailand. It is characterized by a tall, robust pseudostem (about 2.5–3.5 m) with dark blotches on the petiole. The fruits are plump and rounded; the yellow flesh is chewy, sweet, and slightly creamy with a fragrant aroma. It is enjoyed fresh or processed and remains in market demand. Because it is now uncommon, growing it also helps conserve a local cultivar.
