Musa (AA) 'Khanun' is a banana cultivar scientifically classified as Musa acuminata in the AA genome group (derived solely from this species). It is known for its intense sweetness, chewy flesh, a firm core, and excellent flavor. It can be enjoyed both unripe (grilled, roasted, or boiled) and ripe (eaten fresh or used in desserts such as banana sticky rice). The pseudostem reaches about 3.8–4 m tall, with a reddish-purple inflorescence and relatively large fruits. It is commonly found in Thailand and preserved as a heritage cultivar.
