Musa 'Mint Banana' gets its character from being a large herbaceous plant whose overlapping leaf sheaths form a pseudostem and whose crown produces broad leaves; it belongs to the Musaceae family. A key feature is that the broad leaves and pseudostem create a clearly tropical presence from an early stage. Arranging it so that new growth and the front of the leaves are visible allows changes to be appreciated fully. Leaf color, thickness, and size may change with the plant's age, light levels, and root health.
To develop a balanced clump, provide high light, warm temperatures, consistent water and nutrients, and enough room for the roots and clump to expand.
