Musa (AA Group) 'Khanun' is a cultivated banana named Khanun, or khanun, within the M. acuminata line. It produces suckers from a rhizome, forms a pseudostem from overlapping leaf sheaths, and develops long, broad leaves above the crown. Once mature, it produces an inflorescence from the crown and uses suckers as the next generation. Khanun should be understood as a cultivar name; it does not mean that the fruit must smell or taste like jackfruit. It suits tropical banana gardens that need to preserve a named cultivar with the clump continuously labeled.
Provide full sun, deep loamy soil, and consistent watering, with drainage channels to prevent waterlogging around the rhizome. Young plants should be acclimated gradually from high humidity to outdoor conditions, beginning with filtered light and increasing sun once the new leaves are strong. Apply balanced fertilizer in small doses and mulch around the base to protect the shallow roots. Limit the clump to one or two next-generation suckers. Choose a site with wind shelter and prepare support when a bunch develops. Cut dry leaves with clean tools and attach the Khanun label to every sucker separated from the mother clump so it is not mixed with other AA-group bananas.
